2016 East Bay Summer Fun

If you're anything like me, when you find out about fun activities and camps your kids can be involved in, your parent ears perk up and your heart starts to flutter with excitement! Well, this will make your heart flutter ALOT because I have researched some great activities and camps available this summer that your kids may love to be a part of and I've made a list of them in one spot for you! (fist bump! fa la la la la...I really hope you've seen Big Hero 6, otherwise you prooooobably think I'm a bit crazy at this point!) Anywho, without further delay, feel free to check out these activities and camps. Kids Bowl Free

Ages: 15 and under

Cost: $0 (unless shoe rental is needed)

Location: Your choice

Children are able to receive 2 free games of bowling per day all summer long. Shoe rentals are required if children do not own their own bowling shoes. Family passes are available at a discounted rate and allow up to 4 adults to bowl each day. 


Kids Skate Free

Ages: 11 and under

Cost: $0 (unless skate rental is needed)

Location: Your choice

Children are able to receive a free skating pass for the summer. Skate rentals are required if children do not own their own skates. 


We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym

Ages: Baby and up

Cost: $15 per hour;                                 $12 per hour for siblings

Location: Berkeley

This is an all-inclusive Kid's Gym offering Break Time and Mini Camps which provides children with fun, sensory play. One on one attendant care is available for children with special needs.


Park'N It Day Camp

Ages: 5-12 years old

Cost: $200 (10% sibling discount)

Location: East Bay Regional Parks

This is a traditional summer day camp program that takes place Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm in various East Bay Regional Parks. Camps feature hands-on experience under the care of highly-trained staff. Children learn about ecology, play games, make art projects, go fishing, hiking, swimming, and enjoy field trips to parks.


MOCHA Summer Camp

Ages: 6-12 years old

Cost: $325 per week

Location: Oakland

This camp provides innovative, hands-on arts activities for children and youth. MOCHA campers work on variety of engaging projects based on weekly topics. Camp time is from 9am-3:30pm. Pre-care and after-care are available at additional cost.


Camp Bladium

Ages: 6-14 years old

Cost: $330

Location: Alameda

Children can experience a wide variety of games and activities: rock climbing, basketball, dodgeball, karaoke, kickball, arts and crafts, laser tag, cheerleading, jumpers, Legos, and water world. Campers are provided a healthy, delicious lunch and snacks. Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm. Extended care available at additional cost.
